Thankful.

November 26, 2020

As we approach Thanksgiving I look back on this 2020 year and truly feel Thankful. Never in my life did I expect to live through a pandemic. So many uncertainties created anxiety and turmoil in this country. I have a stronger appreciation for the holidays as this holiday season many of us are gathering in smaller groups and having to distance from loved ones. Its been hard. Hard not seeing friends and family so often. Hard worrying I cant hug my parents or even feel comfortable enjoying eating out at a restaurant without the fear creeping in.

I opened up a little earlier this year for a wellness check, in which I count my blessings I have a job. This pandemic has been hard on the retail industry and after going through a furlough I am even more appreciative to be back at work and adjusting to this work from home new normal.

I am thankful for my health and my family and friends health. I struggle with fear on how this virus could affect someone I love so much. I have had a few people I know experience this virus and count my blessings they are all doing well now.

I am thankful for the support I have around me during this year. The time I have been able to spend with friends even through FaceTime or Zoom. I think we all realize how precious life is and to never take any time for granted. Checking in with people you love is so important.

All in all I have many blessings to count this year. It has been probably the hardest year of my life, and so many others. Shopping for a face mask that won’t break me out? Never thought that would be the new accessory of the year!

I pray that this all comes to an end soon. That I can hold my best friends new adorable baby, that I can laugh and hug my loved ones without fear, that I can go back to work in person. The list goes on and on. Those little mundane things we all took for granted all taken away from us so quickly. So this year I will show my thanks more than ever, and pray that next year comes around.

I hope you all have safe and enjoyable holiday time with your families. I cant wait for all the Thanksgiving sides and pumpkin pie;)
