This quarantine had me inspired to redecorate so many spaces in my apartment. I mean why not when you are stuck inside your home just staring at the walls LOL. Pinterest played a big part in inspiration and honestly now I just want a house so I have more spaces to decorate, it has been so fun!
First thing first, my roommate and I decided to color coordinate our bookcase the first week of quarantine and this honestly inspired the rest of the colorful changes in the living room! Our colors in our living room had been focused around pink and blue the past 2 years and we decided to back off of the pink some and incorporate punches of yellow. Honestly such a mood lifter! The next big project was the new gallery wall. We had previously had our gallery wall on the couch wall but since we revamped that area as well we were able to fill the blank space above the TV that we have been trying to figure out a plan for forever! I must say I LOVE how this wall turned out. The majority of the prints we found on Pinterest and then printed at Walgreens but we do have some prints from Rifle Paper and Society 6. Before we decided what prints we liked most, we printed them on computer paper so we could pin them to the wall and ensure we liked the lay out and the prints together! I highly suggest doing this so you don’t waste any money incase you don’t like the outcome once you have purchased or printed.
The coffee table decor had a slight update. We switched out the pink peonies for white and traded in our coffee table books for a bright magazine cover! 2 reasons for the switch up. First was we have looked at the same things for almost 3 years and second was to take some of the pink out of decor elements and add some more neutral tones since we have so much more color from the bookcase and the gallery wall.
FINALLY we have wallpaper up!! If you follow along on my Instagram stories you have seen the back and forth we have done on what and if we wanted wallpaper on this wall. We found the perfect fit to balance out all of the colors and textures in this space! Originally we were looking at palm leaf wallpaper but that was a little bit to much with everything we had and planned to do in the living room. This peel-able wallpaper was not only easy to instal but also an affordable option! Target for the win with this find. We added some more fun pops of color in our pillows and I must say I am so in love with this space now!
I’d love to hear what your personal decor style is and if you have revamped your spaces during quarantine!
