I am a lipstick queen no doubt. Since I was little I “collected” lipsticks and lip glosses. I used to catalogue all the shades I had in a notebook LOL. My AIM screen name in middle school was even lipglossluva15. Can you tell I was/am obsessed? I have found throughout the years 5 go to lipsticks that I love to use for any occasion.

1. MAC Velvet Teddy– This shade is a cult favorite from MAC Cosmetics. I have flown through two tubes of this shade already and that’s saying something! I love this color because it is the perfect shade for truly any skin tone. When I put this on it adds color to my face without being over the top or washing me out. This nude has more of a warm tone to it which is my preference when it comes to nude lipsticks.
2. Kylie Cosmetics Posie K– Many people have their opinions on the formula of Kylie matte lip kits, I for one love them because they stay put through eating and drinking. They are drying but as long as you are exfoliating before and after use and following up with a lip balm you will be good! You can also add a lip gloss on top if you do not want the matte look and feeling. Posie K is a really pretty mid tone dusty pink that looks great on all skin tones!
3. MAC Mehr- This color is a mix between a dusty pink and a light mauve. I feel like these colors are impossible to explain LOL. Let’s put it this way, they are wearable for all occasions. I like to wear this one more often in the spring summers! Mac lipsticks are some of my favorites, the formula is amazing and wears beautifully.
4. Bite Beauty Pastille– I tried out this brand and color from a Sephora points reward and I fell in love! I am looking to pick this lipstick up in several more shades. This color is very natural on my skin tone but lives my lips a nice flush of color. This formula is AMAZING. Super moisturizing and does not leave my lips dying for hydration. I highly suggest picking this one up!
5. MAC Captive– This is hands down my favorite lipstick of all time! I have gone through 3 tubes of this color, and if you didn’t know, MAC runs a program in their stores where you can bring back 6 empty products to recycle and get a free lipstick! This color is so flattering on me and better yet it wears off so subtly so even if I need to re apply it still has a nice tint of color that does not look messy. This shade is the satin finish which is hands down my favorite formula, it is so comfortable! The shade is a fusion between a mauve and a darker pink, which I love for any season. I view this color as an everyday neutral and almost wear it everyday to work!
