I have been on my soapbox the past few months talking about my new found love for Turmeric. Yes I am talking about the kitchen spice. I was first introduced to the benefits by my facialist. She provided me with a recipe for an at home acne spot treatment concoction. I was shocked that Turmeric was included in the recipe and soon after started seeing the ingredient popping up everywhere in beauty products at the store. Turmeric has many beneficial properties. This ingredient can help combat acne, reduce dark circles, help prevent sun damage, soothe dry skin and has anti inflammatory properties that helps reduce redness and calms skin. That is the just of all the Turmeric powers so lab coat off and into the products I have found that I love!

Kora Organics Turmeric 2-in-1 Brightening and Exfoliating Mask: If you didn’t know… now you know that Kora Organics is Miranda Kerr’s beauty line! I love this mask/face scrub 2 in 1 to help brighten my skin, while scrubbing away dead skin after use. You place this mask on for 15 minutes and then scrub away with warm water. I have very sensitive skin and do not find the scrub element to be too abrasive. It also leaves a cooling invigorating feeling when you are letting the mask marinate which I love. I like to apply this mask/scrub once a week on Sundays.
Versed Brightening Tightening Mask: This is a recent find from Target! The brand was created by the woman of Who What Wear, yes the Target clothing line. It is a very affordable clean beauty line that just launched and I cannot wait to try more items! I picked up this mask first to try out, yes you got me, because of the turmeric call out… You will find turmeric in a lot of brightening products. This is not something all that new to the industry, it is just now a trendy ingredient that is being called out more than usual on packaging, and guess what… THEY GOT ME WITH THEIR MARKETING. I also love the clean beauty element since I have a hard time finding face masks that are free from fragrances etc. Left my skin feeling glowy and refined!
