Sephora Sale Reccomendations

April 14, 2021

The best time of the year is here!! The Sephora sale! The perfect time to stock up on your must haves as well as try out some new products at a discount. This sale usually happens 2 times a year in the Spring and in the Fall. I love covering this sale, probably because I could talk about beauty products for hours on end. Below is a breakdown of when each tier can shop the sale. The sale ends for everyone on the 19th so get your carts ready!

Now let’s jump into the product! I am covering my favorites in each category & the items on my wish list. I am guilty of already placing one large order and have my sights set on one more small one before the end of the sale…. what can I say, I am a beauty junkie!

IGK First Class Dry Shampoo: Now I have been open about how I am guilty of washing my hair each night… I have very fine and thin hair that just gets greasy super easy in the roots. I found some dry shampoo’s I liked in the past few years but never ones I could actually wear my hair down with for second day hair. Until this one! I started putting this in my hair at night to really work the oils out and by the morning I am good to go! I still can only go one day without washing it but thats progress right?! I don’t think I will ever go back to any other dry shampoo!

Olaplex No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment: Olaplex is a new addition to my hair routine in the past few months and I love it! I could really dive into the science behind this product but I will keep it short and sweet for now. Essentially Olaplex helps repair the bonds of your hair making your hair stronger, smoother and moisturized. You can start off with No.0 which is a watery consistency and leave on for 10 min before you get in the shower. Next is the No.3 Perfector which is the standout product in the line up. This creamy mask is applied on top of the No.0 before the shower for at least 10 min and then rinsed off. Since my hair is very thin and cant take too heavy of products, I skip their leave in cream but love the oil on my ends when I need more moisture! They did also just release the No.8 mask which I should be getting soon in the mail! Cant wait to try

Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector: See above:)

Olaplex No.7 Bonding Oil: See above:)

Playa Ritual Hair Oil: This is also a lightweight oil that I love using on my ends. I hadn’t been able to find something for my hair before that wasn’t too heavy until this oil. The Olaplex oil has replaced it recently but still a great product!

Fable & Mane Hair Oil: This product is bomb! I really wanted to work on taking care of my scalp and making sure it was hydrated and this product is perfect. I use this on my whole head but really focus it on the scalp. You can use for 5 minutes before showering or keep on overnight (my preferred method). It leaves my hair feeling super soft and shiny, not to mention it is a clean brand!

Playa New Day Mist: With staying home and working from home, I have cut down on heat styling tremendously. I have naturally straight hair, but I do shower at night so sometimes when I sleep on it wet I obviously have some waves or frizz to tame. This spray is perfect to smooth my hair out and refresh it! I searched high and low for an effective product like this and it really works!

Skinfix Triple Lipid Peptide Cream: If you know who Skincare by Hyram is then you probably have heard of this product. If you don’t, you need to follow him on YouTube or Tik Tok he gives great clean beauty skincare recommendations! I found this product through him and thought it was worth a shot for my sensitive skin. And it was!! Keeps my skin moisturized at night without feeling too heavy. I like to mix in a little of my quench moisturizer with it too and that helps save my super expensive product LOL

Clinique All About Eyes: I cant even remember how many years I have used this now. I cannot find any eye cream I like more! It is super light and keeps my under eye moisturized. I had a bad reaction to my belief under eye balm after I used it for a year and came back to this one and never looked back!

Clinique Acne Clearing Gel: Another Clinique product I have used for years. I know sometimes Clinique gets some shade for their skincare formulas but this works like a charm for me. I now use my pimple patches I get at Target for the initial pimple and follow up with this after the first night to treat until gone

Beauty Bio GloPRO: If you have been around here for awhile you have heard me rant and rave about this skincare device (I have a whole blog post you can check out on it! Head here) A sale is the perfect time to pick this up! I got mine during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in 2019 and have loved it ever since. It helps products penetrate into your skin deeper as well as help reduce the appearance of fine lines. I mean how much more can you ask for?!

Summer Fridays Summer Skin Nourishing Body Lotion: This is a new find for me! Anything Summer Fridays comes out with I have to try. As I have covered before, I do not use any products with high fragrance. I look for fragrance free or for fragrance to be one of the last ingredients on the label (Means it is the smallest amount of % in the product). This product fits that bill and has not irritated my skin! It’s a huge win since I usually can only use fragrance free lotions. It leaves the best sent of coconut and almond and my skin has never felt so nourished before! Just picked up my second tube during the sale

Shani Darden Retinol Reform: After I completed the Beauty Bio R45 retinol system I really wanted a retinol I could use several times a week. I had heard great things about this one that it was not sensitizing which was huge for me! I love it and cannot say anything bad about it. I also think it is a very reasonable price for a retinol

Beauty Bio the Daily: This is another new product to my routine! It is important to include Vitamin C in your daily routine, hence the name of the product. It helps make your skin brighter and helps diminish dark spots. This is pricey to warrant continuing in my routine for months on end, so I am going to asses the results when I finish the bottle! It is very light and not sticky so it doesn’t affect my makeup application

Dr Dennis Gross Daily Peel: Love these! I had really not exfoliated my skin in the proper ways before doing a lot of skin research during quarantine. These peel pads are the sensitive skin version which was a must for me so it would not be as abrasive on my skin. I use these 1 to 2 times a week because they cost a pretty penny but have been very affective! I have seen where people cut the sheets in half to get more use out of them so I need to try that!

Makeup Eraser: I got one of these as a point perk from Sephora and fell in love! I wanted something that would be soft of my skin and not stripping since I usually used a wash cloth in the shower (apparently a big no no!) I’ve really liked the weekly pack that comes with 7 instead of one large cloth you would rotate areas around. It does also have the bonus of cutting down waste of makeup wipes. I haven’t gotten rid of my makeup wipes but use them less frequently!

Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Oil Free Gel Cream: Another amazing Summer Friday launch! I am already on my second jar. The formula is super lightweight and sinks into my skin. I love it for the day time before my makeup. It has replaced my Clinique moisturizer for now but I feel like I get the same result!

Beauty Bio the Quench: You have heard me rave about this product before but sadly it has a very high price point…. its honestly a joke lol. I only pick it up twice a year during the sale! Such a moisturizing formula that sinks into my skin. I only use this in my nighttime routine!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz: Who knows how many of these I have gone through! I have used the product for years and it is the easiest way to define my brow and get it snatched lol. I only use this when I am doing a full face of makeup now and gravitate towards my Glossier brow gel on light makeup days just for added color

Wander Beauty Lip Retreat Oil: Lipstick obviously hasn’t been the go to these days with masks, but I am that girl that needs some kind of color on my lips. This lip oil is so moisturizing and is the perfect nude color to just bring some life to the lips for my zoom calls!

Beauty Blender: I mean this is self explanatory. I know a lot of people have found dupes that they like just as much, but I cant find anything I like more than the original! I always get mine during the sale or Nordstrom sale to get that discount!

Fenty Beauty Eyeliner: One of my new favorite eyeliners! Nothing revolutionary but it lasts on my waterline all day and does not transfer to the skin under my eye. I picked mine up in a brown with slight sparkle and it is gorgeous!!

Bite Beauty Power Move Lip Crayon: If I could keep on lipstick in my collection it would be this one! The formula is so nourishing and moisturizing, wears off nicely not leaving your lips looking crusty or dry and the colors are so pretty! I have 3 different shades but Glace has to be my favorite. My go to everyday shade!

Fenty Beauty Bronzer: For all my fair skinned friends you have to try the shade In da sun. I struggled with finding a light enough shade for my skin tone and also finding a bronzer that did not have a scent in it. Like I do not need my bronzer to smell like chocolate…. It wears so beautifully and warms my skin up perfectly!

Rare Beauty Lip Soufflé Matte Cream Lipstick: I won’t lie that I just wanted to try something from this line and was enticed by the photo shoot with this lip color… a great classic red is what I picked up and the formula is so comfortable on the lips! It does wear lightly since it isn’t a matte formula but I do not mind that!

Becca Cosmetics Highlighter: RIP. If you know you know. Sadly Becca is going out of business this fall. I highly suggest to stock up on their iconic highlights! They are so beautiful and buildable and its so sad that they will soon be unavailable.

Supergoop Unseen Suncreen: I have been loving my Kinship sunscreen recently, which you only get at Ulta sadly. Super Goop was my OG sunscreen love though. My makeup applies flawlessly over this. If you are not wearing a sun screen on your face in the day you need to be!!

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation: My holy grail foundation!! I have never been able to find something that beat this foundation in regards to shade match, wear, and coverage. It doesn’t feel heavy on my skin but provides the best full coverage you can get. It also doesn’t have fragrance which is huge for me, and a light enough shade that matches my neutral undertones which is so hard to find! A makeup artist used this on me at my friends wedding and I haven’t used anything since lol.

Charolette Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick: I was late to the game on this one and boy do I regret it. I love this lipstick because its a nude color I can wear with anything and pull off with my fair skin. This nude is so perfect because it has pink undertones and doesn’t make me look lifeless and too nude (you know what I am talking about) The formula wear off so nicely and isn’t too drying!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: This is the best lightweight concealer! I like to use this as spot coverage and under my eyes on days I don’t want a full face of makeup. It still covers my dark under eyes really well but isn’t as full coverage as my Tarte Shape Tape.

Tarte Tartelette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette: No matter how many eyeshadow palettes I have I always come back to this one!! The PERFECT everyday neutral colors. My palette has been used for every occasion under the sun and has been used and abused. Probably time to pick up a new one! I highly suggest this too if you are looking to get into eyeshadow. The shades are super easy to use and blend
