I am so excited to start sharing with you all my book reviews of the month! Each month I will share the book I read, if I enjoyed it, what I gained from it etc. I have always had a passion for reading since I was a little girl. My Mom is a huge bookworm so I definitely got that from her. It never was a chore for me to read growing up. Okay maybe some of the required reading in school weren’t my favorite…. but you get the point. My favorite school days were always the Scholastic book fair days, oh how I wish we had this for adults!

The book I chose to read for January was one to really set the mood and inspire me growing my blog in 2019. I picked up Insta Style by blogger and influencer Tezza. I am sure you have probably seen Tezza’s inspiring Instagram feed before, if not you have to check it out. Her feed is full of life, color and she gives off this vibrancy of life that is infectious. When she released this book in the fall last year I knew I had to get my hands on it.

Insta Style is a book that all Influencers/photographers should pick up. It truly is a handbook for all things social media encompassing. Tezza digs into topics like engagement, flow, captions, content and so much more. The book really inspired me to get out of my comfort zone in posing during shoots. One thing I have loved since I was in high school was doing photoshoots. Exploring fashion with looks and posing has always been inspiring for me. One thing I did not want to stray from when starting a blog was my artistic side. I didn’t want to get stuck in a rut with the same poses and captions, this book has truly inspired me to get out of my comfort zone. I also loved the section discussing your mission statement. Each Influencer out there on the world wide web should be telling a story and sharing content that connects to that mission. The tips Tezza provides have made me so excited for 2019 and the heights that I can take From Red to Toe!
