I am always on the watch for clean beauty products that will help my sensitive skin. As I have opened up about on the blog before, this past year my skin has become even more sensitive than it ever has been before. I am much more cognizant of the ingredients in products and the kind of products that will help my skin, and target any of my concerns. In January I was sent these two complimentary products from Tatcha in partnership with Influenster. I was really excited to give these products a try as I have only heard good things about the brand! Tatcha is also a clean at Sephora brand. If you haven’t noticed before on Sephora’s website, they mark products with clean ingredients with a seal so you know when shopping the products that have been verified as clean. I have now been using these products for a month and wanted to share the results I am seeing!
The Essence: I had never used an essence before in my skincare routine so I was really interested to learn more about this product! The Essence is a “resurfacing softener of 98.7 percent pure anti-aging Japanese superfoods that make all skin care work better” It triggers Dullness, uneven texture, fine lines and wrinkles and Dryness. Not going to lie I was really skeptical at first of this product. Could such a product that seemed like it was basically just water in a bottle make a difference? I am glad to say I was happily surprised! I have some fine lines on my forehead and I noticed these lines diminishing, as well as my skin feeling plump and hydrated! I use this after cleansing my face. It claims that the Essence helps all other skincare soak into your skin more effectively. I don’t know how accurate this claim is, but I will say I can tell a difference when I do not use this product.
Violet C Brighting Serum: This product is described to be ” A 20% vitamin C and 10% AHA serum with pure ingredients and gentle strength that helps soften, smooth, and brighten for more even toned skin”. It targets dullness, uneven texture, fine lines and wrinkles and dark spots. I have used serums in my routine in the past but never a vitamin C serum. I can tell a visible difference over this past month in how bright my skin has become! Acne scars I have had for years have also begun to diminish. I love this serum because it is very light on your skin, has no color to it, and does not have any scent.
After using these two products I highly recommend trying out Tatcha! I recently have purchased the luminous dewy skin mist which can be used to set your makeup or as a skin care step. I am dying to get my hands on their rice polish next!
