Bedroom Details

March 28, 2022

It’s been quite awhile since I have had an updated Bedroom to share! I just moved into my own place in September and have been having a blast decorating and revamping my spaces to feel new. If you are interested in the evolution of my spaces, you can search bedroom and find my past two bedrooms.

I honestly cant put my finger on how I would explain my decor style. You will see my bedroom has a lot more eclectic elements than my other spaces. I love a mix of vintage inspirations, color and textures. So maybe I would call it vintage eclectic? You tell me! Each art piece and element in this room has a meaning to me and have been curated for many years which I love! It’s important to me for my spaces to have personality and not be cookie cutter.

I created a little space with special elements in my corner surrounding the dresser. To start, this dresser holds a lot of meaning to me. It was my Dads for years and my dresser growing up. It has followed me to college and all my apartments. I used to have some bright color knobs on the drawers and wanted to switch back to a classic crystal in this space. On top of the dresser are some of my favorite coffee table books, vintage tray I picked up years ago from an antique shop and some pretty gold elements. I added the shelf above the dresser, I felt the space needed something above it or else it looked empty. To add height to the shelf I added these little designer books. I have fallen in love with these books and plan to collect all of the ones they have to offer! Again I added some pretty gold elements and a candle which actually is special to me, yes I know its crazy to say that LOL. This was my first candle I purchased when I worked at Anthropologie. The scent takes me back to that time and sadly they have never released it again so I don’t burn it and use it as decor since I also love the jar!

Moving on to the most important piece of the bedroom… the bed! This bed is also special to me! It was my Grandmas and then my moms and then obviously mine! I used this bed some growing up, and from college to now. I love the antique elements and the story behind it. The details are very romantic and chic to me compared to a typical wooden frame. I have switched up the comforter on the bed. I got this comforter back in 2020 from Parachute and LOVE it. Its so comfy and I love the light texture it adds. Another new addition is this side table. A side table with drawers in this new apartment was a must to hid away all the clutter I used to accumulate from lotions to chapsticks. I found this one at Target and added the knobs to match the dresser. Bringing in the eclectic element I mentioned earlier, is this cute corner college of some of my favorite prints. I found this inspo on Pinterest and combined some of my favorite prints I have compiled over the years! Some of these are purchased and others I find on Pinterest and print at Walgreens! Super low cost friendly. I feel like this corner is the perfect inspiration to me on the daily and brings so much color and life to the room.

Last but not least… my other dresser! Yes I know its kind of crazy how much space I need for clothes… maybe thats why I have a blog. This dresser is also a family piece, it was my Grandmas and it got a facelift with some fun teal paint and gold handles! This space is the same as my last apartment, probably because I was that in love with the area. I did pick up a new full length mirror that was larger to fill out the space. Behind my door I have another collage wall of inspo which I rarely see since I keep my door open but this is the perfect place for my go to bags and the collage covers up the ugly electric box we sadly have to deal with in apartments.

This room really makes me feel comfortable and at peace all while energizing me in the morning and while Im getting dressed! I cant wait to show you my living room space next! Stay tuned!
