2022 Goals & Vision Board

January 10, 2022

Another new year!! I finally had the time this weekend to slow down a week into the year and set my intentions. I like to set a word of the year as well as set personal and blog goals every year. I know a lot of people think it is cliche to set goals and do we even really stick to them? A lot of times no, not to a T. But for me it helps to see the facets of my life I need to focus on and put more time and effort into. No one is perfect and we need to be realistic with ourself when we set our goals. Something new I added this year was creating a vision board as well. I took images of things that reference my goals as well as aesthetic and vibe photos and quotes that ladder up to my goals. I am going to share how I made my vision board as well as a few of my goals to help spark your thoughts if you are interested!

2022 Word of the year

This year I chose my word as DARING. I thought this really spoke to the changes I went through last year and the new experiences, adventures and memories that lie ahead in 2022. I want to be daring in all that I do, putting myself and my happiness first. It can be intimidating to pick just one word for the year. This year not one word just came to mind so I looked through word of the year lists and wrote down which ones spoke to me. From there I looked at my goals and what word spoke to those. Some other words that resonated with me was Release, Courage, Confidence and Embrace.

2022 Goals

I am not going to share all of my goals since some are personal, (and who really wants to read them all?) but this year I set 6 personal goals and 3 blog goals. I am going to share 2 personal and 1 blog goal with you all!

  1. Have more productive mornings: I have never been a morning person. I HATE waking up early. Its a huge fault of mine. It hasn’t helped working at home and being able to just roll out of the bed, and some days not even get ready depending on my meeting schedule. This year I want to be more intentional with my mornings instead of waking up and jumping right into work. This can look like getting ready every morning, having time to read, relax and drink my coffee
  2. Travel out of the country: It’s wild but yes I have never left the country, not even to Mexico. I FINALLY got my passport the beginning of 2020 to travel to Paris and then the Pandemic happened… My goal this year is to make it to Paris or Ireland!
  3. Hit 5k on Instagram: This has been a goal of mine for 3 years since I started the blog. I am only 900 followers away now and know I can hit it this year if I put the work into it! The past year the blog hasn’t been my main focus and I miss putting in as much effort as I used to!

2022 Vision Board

I made 2 versions of my vision board, one for IG feed and one for IG stories & my phone background. I first thought of my goals and the images that would convey them. Not all of my goals are present due to space but I found the images that inspired me the most and used those. I also looked for aesthetic or vibe photos that help embody the goals and the feeling I want this year. And finally I looked through my boards where I save quotes that inspire me and incorporated those messages in. I made this on Canva which is one of my favorite websites and where I make a lot of my graphics! I really liked incorporating this into my process for goal setting this year. It’s great to be able to visualize the year you want to achieve.

Do you set goals yearly? If so what’s your main goal you are looking to achieve this year? Happy New Year everyone!
