In honor of the month of love, and of course the color red, I am sharing my all time favorite red lipsticks! From wear time, to color undertones, I am covering it all to help you find the perfect red lipstick to add to your makeup bag! I know, I know, red lipstick might not be for everyone, but take a chance this year, play around with it while you are staying home and see how you feel rocking a bold lip!
M.A.C Cream Lipstick in M.A.C Red: If you are looking for a classic red lipstick this is it from the color to the bullet lipstick! The undertones are described as a vivid bright blueish red, aka a true classic red. When looking at undertones the blue undertones are what make your teeth look extra white and pop! Now as far as wear time this will move and smudge while eating or drinking but it does not create a mess and is very comfortable on the lips since it is a cream lipstick.
KKW Beauty Creme Lipstick in Candy Apple Red: Another classic lipstick with a vivid blue red undertone. I know I know you are asking why I have the M.A.C one and this one and the answer is I love to try new things LOL both are definitely not necessary. I would probably suggest the M.A.C one over the KKW as I prefer the finish and comfort level. They really are so alike you can really not tell a difference, but M.A.C has always had my heart with lipstick. Truly the best formulas.
Bite Beauty Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon in Negroni: If you are looking for a clean ingredient lipstick this is your guy. I LOVE Bite Beauty lip products from their scrubs, lip balms and lipsticks. This lip crayon formula is so comfortable and leaves my lips nourished. The ingredients include Wild African Mango Butter & Orange Peel Wax which nourishes the lips and keeps them hydrated. Like the first two lipsticks, this is not a long wear lip color but I find this formula wears off beautifully.
L’Oreal Rouge Signature Lightweight Matte Lip Stain in I Don’t: Now I typically don’t love lip stains, this is actually the only one I own. I enjoy this formula because it lasts as long or longer than a liquid lip and doesn’t feel crusty or like the lipstick is pilling off like it sometimes does with liquid lips. It really does feel like nothing is on your lips! In terms of wear time, I wore it for almost 8 hours last weekend and it only wore off in the center due to constant snacking throughout the night. Great option for under masks too to prevent smearing!
Morphe Liquid Lipstick in Hot Shot: Unlike the other blue undertone lipsticks I have mentioned, this shade is much more saucy and bright! Morphe describes this as a Chili Pepper red and its definitely a statement when I wear it on my fair skin! The wear time is amazing on this. I never feel like it bleeds or gets messy when I eat or drink with it on. I would say this would be my top pick out of the long lasting lip colors if you are going for that glam look!
Kylie Cosmetics Matte Liquid Lipstick in Mary Jo Kay: I know that some people have their opinions on Kylie Lip kits, and yes they are drying but they stay on for forever! I find if my lips are prepped and not dry and cracking I am fine to wear this for hours without it looking gross on my lips. The undertones are a true blue red, I think you can tell I love a very true red lip! I always laugh that Connor will never kiss me with red lipstick on but he knows he can when it is a Kylie lip color LOL.
