I have shopped the Nordstrom Anniversary sale for many years. It is the perfect time to find designer pieces for fall at a discount! The pieces I pick up during the sale become staples in my closet until I wear them out! Typically the sale is in July, but with COVID the sale was pushed back and set up with a different kind of structure (see below dates). I will be able to shop the sale on the 13th but wanted to get my picks up for you all if you are able to shop sooner! By all means do not think you need anything during the sale because you absolutely do not! The sale items definitely didn’t blow me away this year so I will be purchasing much less than usual.

This year they structured the tiers a little different. In the past it was just card holders and then the public. I am sad that some of my favorite pieces are now sold out so I am holding out hope that their might be a small restock on some pieces. I do love however how we got to see all the pieces ahead of time this year to get our wishlist ready and not have a mad dash to find all the pieces we want before they sold out.

Shoes is the winning category for me this year! So many good staple shoes for your closet. With the neutral palette you will be able to wear these shoes with so many looks. I have my sights set on the Marc Fisher brown suede booties. I almost bought these full price last fall so hoping they stay in stock! Also wanting to pick up the Steve Madden brown over the knee boots and white booties. Two good basics that I am missing in my closet!
Like I mentioned, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale has the best basics. The Topshop leather jacket I picked up last year and I could not stop wearing it! Such a classic piece to add to your closet if you do not have a leather jacket. This year I want to pick up this adorable teddy coat that is so neutral but fun with the plaid pattern. Additionally I need a rain coat! I love this North Face olive color rain coat but cant decide if its worth the price.
These denim pieces will be so flattering with any fall look! I personally will not be picking any up since I am covered in this area but I picked some Levi jeans up last year with a wide leg and I fell in love! Such a great time to try a new silhouette you typically do not wear.
I was pretty disappointed with the sweater and top selection this year. It was pretty light and I didn’t see anything that I really needed! I do love this socialite thermal though. I got it last year in gray and want to pick it up in the cream this year!
Not much to chose from in this category either! Nothing that wowed me for an addition to my closet. I am going to get this cute denim skirt since I surprisingly don’t have one in my closet.
So excited that some of my favorite athleisure pieces are included in the sale! One of my all time favorite purchases is the Zella leggings. Super comfy to lounge around in as well as workout in. A great quality for a much lower price than Lululemon plus they also come in this fun tie dye pattern this year! Second piece I love is the Free People tank. I have this in black and love wearing it with my Zella leggings. Super comfortable and lightweight!
Surprised to not see more bags in this years sale! Love this classic Tory Burch though. Had to hold myself back because I do not need it at all lol. I am so excited for this Madewell necklace! I have been searching for a gold disc necklace and this one is so affordable!
One of the best categories! Last year I got the Beauty Bio GlowPro that I had been lusting for for so long, and it was for sure the best purchase of the year! I have a whole blog post review on what it is and why its beneficial! I always pick up the Beauty Blender duo since I use these everyday to do my foundation! Typically I use 2 a year so this always hold me over to the next anniversary sale! I love all the above products but to round out my top 3 picks is the Charolette Tilbury pillow talk set. I have fallen in LOVE with this lipstick shade and wear it almost everyday! Such a good value to get the lipstick, lipgloss and lip liner.
Im not always that impressed with the men’s selection during the sale and this year is no different. Some great basic pieces to pick up. My boyfriend always likes the Mizzen and Main shirts as well as the Travis Matthews items.
I don’t usually pick up much from the home section since I live in an apartment and don’t really cook LOL. Some cute items to pick up for gifts though. I do want to get this wine rack, I have been searching for one for so long and this one is so cute!
If you are going to pick up any items from the sale I would suggest these! These are all items I currently own or am looking to pick up! You will be able to wear all of these pieces so many times due to their neutral state and timeless look! These beauty picks are my favorites and must haves for my everyday routine!
