One of my goals this 2020 is to read a book a month. I had this goal last year but fell off the wagon half way through. I think it is so important to be able to put your phone down at night and unwind with a good book. Now it’s time to practice what I preach! So far I have completed two books this year from the same series and LOVE them. Highly suggest! Follow along with my Books highlight on my Instagram story to see all the books I am reading! Let me know if you would like to see complete book reviews on the blog (Maybe quarterly?) or I can rate them numerically on my stories!
Suggestions
These books are part of a series that goes through the life of 3 woman who all connect in an interesting way. Their Husband, Boyfriend, and hookup passes away and on his funeral they all meet and find out the truth behind their relationships. They then become best friends and make a pact to never let a man ruin their life again. Each book focuses on one girl and their love life in New York. Such an easy relaxing read that keeps you turning the page! The final book comes out at the end of this month and I am so excited!
Books to read
Now here are the books I am looking to read this year! Several of them, as I note below, are turning into TV and movies! I ALWAYS read the book before watching. I like to be able to visualize the characters and the plot in my head and not think of the show if I have already seen it prior.
- The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriatry
- The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen
- Next Level Basic by Stassi Schroder
- The Dinner List by Rebecca Serle
- The Hating Game by Sally Thorne (Coming out as a movie this year staring Lucy Hale!)
- The Last Time I Saw You by Liv Constantine
- Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng (Hulu show coming out in March staring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon)
- Woman in the Window by AJ Finn (Movie set to release in May staring Amy Adams)
- 9 Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriatry (Hulu show coming out in 2020 staring Nicole Kidman!)
(For those of you who judge a book by it’s cover 😉 don’t worry I am guilty too! Here is a visual for you!)
What books are on your list this year?! Additionally any that I need to add to mine?
