Can we believe that Thanksgiving is already here?! You know by now that I am all things pumpkin obsessed, so this is one of my favorite holidays! For many years, I religiously woke up early to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade to kick off my Thanksgiving. It was the only day of the year besides Christmas that I wanted to wake up early LOL.
Thanksgiving is a time to count your blessings and spend time with those you love most. It’s such a warm time of year to spend with your family and see friends who have moved near and far. Do you have any Thanksgiving Day traditions?!
With all that being said, the table is the focal point and heart of this holiday. You could sit for hours chatting with family at the table. Catch me with many heaping of creamed corn at the table, my FAVORITE! So today I am sharing my dream Thanksgiving table. So yes my parents still host Thanksgiving and I don’t have a house yet… But a girl can dream up her ideal table setting am I right?!
As you can tell, I made pumpkins the focus of this table! Pumpkin vibes only. The transparent pumpkin I used as the centerpiece of the table. You can use any larger size pumpkin that you like here (even a real one!). I then scattered throughout the medium sized real pumpkins to accompany the centerpiece. To add some dimension, I added more decorative gold pumpkins as well as 2 larger pumpkins to flank the end of the table. These were a steal in the dollar section of Target for only $5 bucks! They had them also in a lighter orange and green color. And finally for filler throughout the center, I utilized some smaller pumpkins that I like to use for vase filler usually! They help keep the table looking full and not bare.
Now that you have the pumpkins down, the final element for the center piece decor is the greenery! I picked this up at Hobby Lobby for only $20! Shoutout to the Hobby Lobby weekly 40% off coupon. This is perfect to add once again some dimension to the table and add an element that is not pumpkin related. This also is so versatile and can be used all over your home for any season! I already have a plan on how I can incorporate it into my Christmas decor (stay tuned!)!
The final step is the place setting! I kept this pretty simple so the focus would be on the centerpiece. I went with classic white porcelain plate but added the pop of color from the plaid napkins in the fall color scheme. I picked these up from Hobby Lobby and finished the plate off with a white ceramic gourd from the Target dollar section. I am telling you that section has so many goodies you can count on for decor. I already have found so many gems for Christmas that I cannot wait to share! Also wanted to note that you could easily add a place card that could lean on the gourd but I wanted to keep it simple and clean so I opted to not add it.
Now that the table is set, its time to sit down for a good meal and count your blessings! This year I am so thankful for the good health of myself and my family and friends. I also am thankful for the opportunities I have been given for my blog and my career. I could drag on and on but will leave you with those two blessings for now! What are you thankful for?
