If you don’t know the reference that this blog post is named after…..I don’t think we can be friends. Okay maybe we can but I need you to go and watch The Real Housewives of OC ASAP and see all Shanon Beador has to offer. If you don’t live in Texas, or the South for that matter, you may not experience scorching 109 degree summer days. Light breezy dresses are essential to beat the summer heat. It wasn’t until recently I incorporated dresses in my day to day life. I used to only wear dresses when dressing up for special occasions, but after picking up a few easy throw on dresses for errands my tuned changed.

A cute dress with a fun print doesn’t require much work when accessorizing. Throw on some fun earrings and simple gold bangles and the look is complete! These are not even completely necessary to complete the look if you or a more minimalistic gal, I am just a sucker for a fun pair of earrings. My favorite accessory of this summer has been my straw circle bag. I know… super basic, you see a girl on every corner with one, but I think its such a cheerful accessory to transform any summer look!
There are not many fool proof ways to beat the heat…. except stay inside. But on those days that you can’t avoid the scorching sun, a facial mist or setting spray is a must have. I love Urban Decay All Nighter to set my makeup and avoid it melting off when stepping outside. Mario Badescu Rose Water is the best pick me up when already outside to refresh your skin! Facial mists can hydrate your skin in one simple spray and are packed with calming ingredients (added bonus!). Besides these gems, its an obvious rule to stay hydrated and always have a pony tail holder on deck. Good luck staying cool this summer! How far away is fall? !
