I really cannot believe the holidays are already here and we are about to move into 2022. Would any holiday season be complete without some holiday cheer in your home?! For me no. This year my Christmas decor was switched up some since I have my own new place! I had so much fun picking up new pieces and creating my Christmas vibe in my apartment. But won’t lie I am already dreading taking the decor down and how sad and bare the apartment will be after!
This year my style was more warm traditional Christmas vibes. I wanted to make the tiny entry table I have very cherry and welcoming when you walk in. Target for me is the mecca of all holiday decor. I picked up these cute glass trees, vase, and sled to hold my keys from the dollar section (Or whatever its called now since these ranged $3-$5). The greenery was from At Home and Hobby Lobby and finishing up the space I couldn’t pass up this adorable cross stitch art piece to hang from Hearth and Hand.
Moving into the Kitchen, I incorporated my bottle brush trees and made a little forest in the corner. I have collected these over the years from the Target dollar spot! I also switched up my display mug by the coffee maker and added my little red nutcracker to keep with the red aesthetic. To wrap up the kitchen area, I added these little glass vases with some Christmas tree vase filler and colorful lightbulbs. Fun fact, these lightbulbs were the lights we had on our house growing up! I love adding in sentimental touches where I can.
Now to the main event! I had so much fun decorating the living room. A few pieces you might recognize from my old apartment are the festive pillows and the small wreaths on the windows. The pillows are from Target and the wreaths and ribbons super cheap from Hobby Lobby! I really miss when these come down because I feel like they add such a nice pop to the room. I got a lot of fun new trees to strew about the room from Target, the neutral ones on the bookcase, the smaller glass tree on the bookcase, and the white ceramic trees for the coffee table. I utilized my red pom pom garland I had and picked up two new stockings to fit this Christmas aesthetic a bit better than what I had previously!
And the focal point finally, of course the tree! My old tree was my roommates so I kept an eye on sales and found this one on sale at Michaels for $100! I was so pleased since it is pre lit and great quality. To wrap the tree up (no pun intended) I struggled to find a tree topper I loved and finally found the perfect one at Target from the Threshold Studio McGee collection. Also was torn on choosing the tree skirt, I picked one up that matched the red twill stocking but ultimately thought this basket option from Hearth and Hand was too perfect.
What has been your Christmas decor vibe this year? I hope you all have a wonderful, relaxing and safe holiday!
