FINALLY have an Amazon try on haul for you guys! So this is probably my most request post by far. I was honestly hesitant to do this post for many reasons. 1st reason being that I really don’t shop Amazon that often, I don’t even have Prime. And when I do shop Amazon, I am purchasing books through independent sellers, or finding items I can’t find in stores. Working in the retail industry I see what Amazon does to other retailers, wether it is Mom and Pop shops or brick and mortar stores who have been around for years. The truth of the matter is Amazon is taking over the industry, so me not supporting the movement is one small hope that we will still be able to walk into our favorite stores when we need to grab something real quick, call me old fashioned. The 2nd reason being I am all for quality over quantity. I truly didn’t feel that I would be able to find items that would stand the test of time. I mean not going to lie obviously these items are not Nordstrom quality, but I was actually very impressed!
So you are probably wondering why then after listing these reasons did I actually place an order and try it out? I am always one that says you cant knock it till you try it. Will I be shopping exclusively on Amazon from now on? Heck no. But I definitely will pick up an item here and there if I see something unique and fun.
So let’s hop into the try on session!
First up is this GORGEOUS black long sleeve blouse. The sleeves are completely transparent as you can see with lace/crochet detailing. There is also a bow detail at the neck that you can tie to your liking. The only down side to this top is it is a little bit on the shorter side but I was able to still half tuck it in. Love this because you could wear it in the office but also make it fun and feminine for a girls dinner!
I fell in love with this polka dot/animal print number the moment I saw it. It is so cute to dress up or down with a graphic tee or you could keep it basic and do an all black body suit. It can easily transition into fall with over the knee boots so win win! I was also shocked this fit since I have issues with length on skirts when ordering them online (I’m 5’6 for reference).
Cruella de Vil vibes on this one! But sooo here for it. Loved this blouse for the office. Two amazing things about this blouse, 1 it isn’t see through which is so hard to find in white blouses and 2 it is long enough in the back so it covers the booty. You can wear this tucked in or out depending on your mood. The quality of this is really awesome, but that does come with a slightly higher price point for Amazon. Still under $30 though!
Do you really think I could pass up this red set? Of course not! Was a little nervous when ordering it though since I really don’t wear sets like this. Also was very concerned on the length of the skirt once again, but gave it a go and am so glad that I did!I think the rouching is so flattering and covers up any areas that I am not the biggest fan of. I mean come on imagine yourself on a beach, girls night etc in this little number.
And last but not least this adorable embroidered red and white top. My friend Lauryn over at Lauryn Lately posted this top and I knew I had to have it! Honestly was shocked that this came from Amazon. The details are precious and very well made. Perfect to throw on for summer errands or a day time event and look so pulled together!
